Boone
Photos of the hardened Boone R/RS LCXR facility.

DSC00171 Boone RS... We don't know who owns it either. There isn't so much as the hint of a sign on site, no gate at the entry, nothing. We'd like to find out who owns this site and see if we can take some photos of the insides. This is an above ground fuel storage tank next to the intake and exhaust for a below ground generator.
DSC00174 Looking north east from the south west corner of the site. Left is the AC area, center is the entry elevator, right of that is an air intake, then right most is the blast detector.
DSC00175 Looking west from the south west corner of the site. Old coax marker poles which now sport fiber signs.
DSC00176 Looking north from the west side of the site. No idea what this vent is for.
DSC00177 Looking north west.
DSC00178 We're pretty sure this is an incinerator. Looking due west.
DSC00179 The intake grate around the generator exhaust.
DSC00180 More generator exhaust. Looking north west.
DSC00181 The standard four car garage. This is in the middle of the site on the north end.
DSC00195 Air conditioning... Really new stuff too.
DSC01794 Boone RS from a distance. This is taken from the east side of Boone RD, south of the site, looking north west.
DSC01797 From Boone RD looking west. Again, there was no indication anywhere in regards to this site... The farmers near by probably figure their neighbors here are just never home.
DSC01802 The entry elevator building, we think.
DSC01803 A well head.
DSC01805 A blast detector with a hand for scale.
DSC01808 The south side of the site has a lone coax maker pole which now sports fiber signs. This is looking south.
DSC01809 Sign detail.
DSC01813 The tower on the site. There was probably a drum-style microwave antenna up there pointing south west to Boone R. According to a document I saw on Albert LaFrance's site this was one of the communications spokes for NORAD.
DSC01817 The back door, which is open. We were able to lift it and look down the several flights of stairs, but didn't want to do anything
DSC01829 The view from Boone RS. Looking north.
DSC01830 Looking east.
DSC01831 Looking south east.
DSC01832 Looking south... A whole lotta nothing.
DSC01837 Through a broken window in the garage we were able to take these photos. Excuse the green cast as it was done through the night vision capabilities of one of our cameras.
IMG_0003 The air intake just south of the entry building.
IMG_9899 More exhaust art.
DSC01838 Another shot of the garage.
DSC01839 And another.
